Card #1: Gate-fold
What I really like about this card is that gate folds look great with flower-covered focal images.
I embossed the leaves and put pearls in the flower centers. Soon I'll be getting bigger and prettier flowers, and more paper. :) I used dimensionals on some of the flowers, and glue dots on others, so it gives it a nice contrast.
Card #2: Teeny Flowers
I really like the background of this card. I used a nice subtle patterned DSP, then stamped a whole bunch of cute flowers using the masking techinique.
Here's a close up of the flowers- I used flowers from the Bitty Punch Pack to punch out flowers in Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry. I put a large dimensional in the middle, stuck flowers to it, then stuck another ring of flowers around it with glue dots. I also embossed the leaves and put pearls in most of the flowers' centers.
Card #3: another take on my first Sketch Challenge
I was stuck, unable to think of how to approach a card, so I used the simple Sketch #209 from Stamping 411. I also used some new tools.
I bet you all are probably bored with my using the sweet & sour DSP, but don't worry, I'm getting a bunch of new materials soon! I love pearls, too, so I use them a lot.
My mom bought a scallop circle punch while I was gone, and I really like how it looks in this card. It almost looks lacey and delicate. On it, I stamped the flowers (twice, using masking), painted them in, then heat embossed them.
Thank you for stopping by!
